What Experiencer is
Experiencer is a place to document unusual personal experiences, keep them in a personal archive, optionally share them, and discover reports that share characteristics with yours. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
About extraordinary claims. Experiencer hosts first-person testimony about experiences that are, by nature, extraordinary and unverifiable. We do not verify, endorse, or dispute the truth of any report. "Similar characteristics" between reports describe patterns in what people wrote — they are not evidence that events occurred, are connected, or have any particular explanation. Nothing on Experiencer is a factual claim by us.
Your content
- You own what you write. Your testimony, media, and profile content remain yours.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, display, and distribute your content solely to operate the service — at the visibility level you chose. We do not sell your content or license it to third parties for their own use.
- You are responsible for what you post. Post only content you have the right to share; don't post other people's private information or media.
- Deleting a report or your account ends the license, except for the narrow retention described in the Privacy Policy.
Prohibited conduct
The following will get content removed and accounts suspended or terminated:
- Harassment of any person, including ridicule of experiencers or brigading.
- Doxxing — publishing or attempting to discover anyone's identity, precise location, or contact details, including attempting to deanonymize pseudonymous or anonymous reports.
- Threats, hate, or incitement; sexualization of minors in any form; spam, scams, impersonation, or fraudulent solicitation.
- Deliberately fabricated reports intended to manipulate, defraud, or harass (parody and fiction belong elsewhere; Experiencer is an archive of sincere testimony).
- Scraping, harvesting, or attempting to bypass privacy controls, rate limits, or authentication.
Moderation
You can report content or accounts in the app. Moderators may remove content, restrict visibility, or suspend/terminate accounts that violate these terms. Moderation actions are recorded internally. We don't promise a specific outcome for any individual report, and we may act without a report where necessary.
Your account
- You must be at least 17 to use Experiencer.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. One person may not operate accounts for the purpose of evading blocks or moderation.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what happens.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Suspended accounts keep read access to their own archive.
Disclaimers
- Experiencer is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy of similarity results, or preservation of content beyond the export tools we provide.
- Experiencer is not an emergency service, a medical service, or a source of professional advice. If you are in danger or crisis, contact local emergency services.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExoArcade LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above will change and material updates will be announced in the app. Continuing to use Experiencer after an update means you accept the revised terms.
